ã Usage elucidation and Safety
Mode of action: Systemic herbicide, absorbed by the root system and/or leaf surface, and translocated to meristem tissues.
Uses: Halosulfuron-methyl has demonstrated activity for the control of annual broad-leaved weeds and nutsedge species, in maize, sugar cane, rice, sorghum, nuts and turf. Efficacy has been observed with post-emergence (18-35 g/ha) applications.

TOXICITY: Acute oral LD50 for rats 8866, mice 11173 mg/kg. Acute percutaneous LD50 for rats >2000 mg/kg.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Long-sleeved shirt and long pants, chemical-resistant gloves, shoes plus socks.
HANDLING/STORAGE CAUTIONS: Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Store in original containers. Keep container closed when not in use. Store away from food and drink.
FIRST AID:
Eyes: Flush with flowing water for at least 15 minutes and obtain medical advice.
Skin: Carefully remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected areas with soap and Water, Seek medical aid if at all worried.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Keep patient at rest and seek immediate medical advice.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest. Obtain medical advice.
ANTIDOTE: No specific antidote.
